Our approach
Therapy at Sanctum Psychology is person-centred, trauma-informed, and grounded in a mindfulness-based understanding of awareness, emotional regulation, and change. Sessions are tailored to the individual and may draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).
For some clients, therapy is focused and practical, addressing a specific issue or decision without requiring deeper long-term work. For others, therapy may involve more reflective psychotherapy, exploring longstanding patterns in emotions, relationships, identity, coping, and self-understanding. Attachment-informed work may also be integrated where relationship patterns, couples therapy, or emotional needs are central.
The overall focus is collaborative, thoughtful, and clinically grounded, while remaining warm, human, and purposeful.
